Green Initiative

All of us at Leavitt and Parris do what we can to be more environmentally efficient and resourceful. We have focused on three main components of our business to strive for more earth friendly practices.

The first being our 60,000 square foot facility. We have made major changes to our building's infrastructure to be more energy efficient. We have added over 30 high bay windows to utilize the sun's natural light and heat for all of our warehouses. We have replaced all of our lighting fixtures in both our offices and warehouses with low wattage high efficiency fixtures and bulbs. We've also installed motion sensors throughout the building, so no light is left on when a space isn't being used. We've also installed high efficiency hot water heaters for all our water needs. Last year we installed 17 super insulated overhead doors for heat efficiency within our warehouse. We are also looking into wind and solar power resources to become self sufficient when it comes to our heating and electrical needs.

Within our rental division we have always tried to be as resourceful as possible. The rental industry is inherently "green" as it is. Products are being used over and over and waste is essentially frowned upon. We sell and auction off items that no longer fit our inventory and we donate all other items instead of throwing them away. You can't get more "green" than renting!

Our manufacturing and production division main motto is "waste not want not." We do everything in our power to be as efficient as possible with the materials we are using. From the steel in our fabrication shop to the fabric in our production division, no usable piece is thrown away. Any scraps that we cannot use are donated to schools or non-profit groups.
